Have you ever thought about freelancing but didn’t know where to start? Dreamed of jacking in your 9 to 5 job and being your own boss? Being in full control of your life again? No more performance reviews? No more salary negotiations? Just the freedom to create the perfect work-life balance for you, doing something you love.
Well, we’d like to introduce you to someone who took that path and has never looked back since, and she’s joining us in our next Online Event for MCN Members to share her story, her experiences, the lessons she’s learned along the way, as well as her top tips for anyone considering stepping into a freelancing career.
About Cath
Cath Smith is a freelance copywriter, and military spouse.
Cath started her professional life as a primary school teacher, but like so many military spouses, chose to give up her career of choice to support her serving partner, when he was posted abroad.
Cath accidentally fell into copywriting when she was asked by a friend to help her out who was looking to outsource some work. She has literally gone from zero, to providing ad hoc support, to setting up her own business, in fact two businesses, and she hasn’t looked back since.
Cath runs two successful freelance businesses, which work perfectly alongside the challenges and complexities of military life, including CS Copywriting Services and Summit & Stream. The latter provides training and support to other would-be freelancers as well as access to a supportive community of freelancers.
