Last month we said ‘goodbye’ to Kelly Wales; this month, we welcome a new member the Central Delivery Team – Carolyn Campbell-Baldwin, our new Engagement & Development Executive.
Carolyn will be working closely with Donna, our Marketing, Communications & Membership Lead as well as with Linzi, our Hub Liaison Lead to ensure the MCN continues to grow and meet the needs of its members.
Her Role
Specifically, Carolyn will be helping us to build on and grow our membership offering, help us to reach out to even more military spouses & partners, and support the growth of our much-loved coworking hubs and online community.
About Carolyn
Carolyn has been a Naval spouse for over 20 years, and is currently based in Portsmouth along the south coast. She is married to Jamie and has 3 children – Alec, Hugh and Xanthe.
Carolyn has enjoyed a range of different careers ranging from working with the NHS in various capacities, including writing and facilitating eLearning courses for the Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, to running her own freelance Content Writing business, producing engaging content that is on message and on brand across a wide range of channels.
She was also Chair of the Spouses International Group, a group set up to provide support and advice to spouses based in the Lisbon (Portugal) area, so brings a wealth of ideas and insight to the MCN table regarding the specific needs of naval spouses!
In her free time, Carolyn likes to read murder-mysteries, go to Pilates classes, and try new recipes.
The Future
We’ve already had our first strategy meeting and brainstorming session, and we’ve got some fantastic ideas and opportunities in the pipeline, but we are still going to need the support of our members to make our vision a reality.
So, if you’d like to get involved, share your expertise or experiences with the network, maybe run an event, or write a blog or top tips, then please, please do get in touch – we’d love to hear from you.
Say Hello
You’ll be seeing and hearing more from Carolyn as she settles into her new role – make sure you say ‘hello’ and introduce yourself – she’s excited to get to know you all.
