We're excited to share that the Military Coworking Network has been shortlisted for the Great British Workplace Wellbeing Series Award for the Best Support for Remote Workers.
The Workplace Wellbeing Awards highlight organisations who are working to positively impact the mental health of their members. The Best Support for Remote Workers award shines a light on companies and non-profits who demonstrate commitment to creating a sense of belonging, inclusion and support for people who work remotely.
The MCN was designed and built by a group of spouses who recognised that to successfully create a professional life alongside their life in the military community they needed to take matters into their own hands. Sarah Stone and a group of committed volunteers at Leuchars Station open the very first on-base coworking hub to support their need to build a network of likeminded professionals in the military spouse community and the organisation has gone from strength to strength ever since.
Through our nine coworking spaces and our online network the MCN has been supporting military spouses and partners by giving them somewhere accessible they can work or study that is designed around their needs.
Our Coworking Hubs give our members the space to create independent, professional lives alongside military life. As military partners we understand that our members have all overcome the obstacles that being part of the military community often throws in their path and we're grateful to have a part to play in enabling remote working military spouses to access work and study opportunities.
