The evaluation of the MCN Pilot Project will now be starting in January 2022, commencing with Akrotiri, Clyde and Leuchars, which were the first coworking hubs to open.
The evaluation of the remaining coworking hubs will run subsequently, with the full evaluation process aiming to be completed by the end of September 2022.
The outcome of this evaluation will determine the future of the MCN and its coworking hubs, so it is vital that as many people as possible get involved.
The evaluation will be conducted by a third party, Social Value Lab, who we have commissioned to do this on our behalf. This ensures it is both independent and impartial.
We will of course be looking to our current members to support us on this, but when it comes to evaluating our coworking hubs, this may not give us quite the full picture.
We value the opinion of all our members – past and current
Due to the transient nature of military life, we are very aware that our hub membership is constantly changing, and that people who previously used one of our coworking hubs, have most likely moved on and may not currently be using one. However, that doesn’t mean we don’t want to hear your views – on the contrary, we really value your opinion.
So, if you’ve used one of our coworking hubs in the past and would like the chance to have your voice heard, you can still get involved.
What does this entail?
The evaluation will comprise a mix of assessment techniques to measure the impact MCN Coworking Hubs have had both on you and your partner, including short interviews and surveys.
As we don’t have your partner’s contact details, we will be depending on you to share this with them so that we can get their feedback too. Your details will be shared directly with Social Value Lab, who will contact you directly
How to get involved
The only criterium is, you must be a member of our free online network to participate - by signing up to our network, we automatically capture the right permissions and consents to support your participation.

Once you’ve signed up to the Online Network, the next step is to send us via email at mcnadmin@militarycoworking.uk your name, email address and telephone number, as well as the name of the coworking hub you used, and we’ll add you to our list.
